I’ve owned this AG 85 for over 10 years now and it’s been my “go to” instrument for most of that time. The woodwork and finish work is excellent as most Chinese guitars. The hardware and electronics is where they are lacking.
It was refretted in 2018 with medium jumbo frets.
I play a lot of Jazz and “Old School Blues” so, it’s been setup with 12’s for years and it plays like a dream; tone for days!

Modifications:
I’ve replaced the tailpiece with a finger style tailpiece to help get rid of the harmonics behind the bridge that are usually generated by trapeze tailpieces. The bridge was changed to a uncompensated rosewood bridge. The tuners were replaced with Grover Super Rotomatics with stair step buttons.
The guitar has been completely rewired with vintage style shielded wire, a 70’s NOS Switchcraft toggle, 500k ohm CTS pots for master volume and tone controls and 1meg Alpha pots for individual pickup volume controls (Gibson style top hat knobs). It also has two GFS Bigmouth pickups that have a vintage sound somewhere between a Gibson humbucker and a Gretsch Filteron. (9.5 K Bridge/8.0 K Neck)

From private parties to the stages of music festivals and state fairs; local bars and clubs to restaurants and hotels, from the chicken wire protected stages of the rural south to the coolest Blues bars in Chicago and St.Louis; upscale Country Club weddings to backyard divorce parties, "Blues in the Schools" at an elementary school to "Happy Hour" at an assisted living facility and from christenings to a Blues Funeral service. I've played every imaginable kind of gig.
